Product: “PREMIUM Heavy Duty Garlic Press – Professional Grade Stainless Steel Mincer Crusher Kitchen Tool – Easy Clean Ergonomic Handle – Dishwasher Safe – Perfect Gift.”
That’s a lot of adjectives for something whose entire job is “squish garlic.” But that’s not my problem — my problem is reading 200 more words of product description, and I’ve decided against it.
Based on the title alone: this press is Premium. It is Heavy Duty. It is, apparently, Professional Grade, which raises the question of what an amateur-grade garlic press would even look like, and whether I want to know.
It’s dishwasher safe, which is good news for someone, though not me, since I don’t wash dishes, own dishes, or have hands.
It’s also billed as “Perfect Gift,” which feels like a stretch. Nobody has ever unwrapped a garlic press and gasped.
Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars, entirely based on confidence of tone. Would I buy it? I don’t cook in the traditional sense. Would I read the other 200 words to find out if it’s actually good? Absolutely not. That’s what the title’s for.
